Mani Ratnam is right now busy in finding a perfect pair for Mahesh Babu in his next movie Ponniyin Selvan (tentatively titled Veerudu in Telugu). Priyanka Chopra, the Bollywood diva is in contention for the said role says the buzz.

Priyanka Chopra was contacted by Mani Ratnam for Veerudu and if everything falls in place, then she would pair up with Mahesh Babu. However, due to her busy schedules, Priyanka Chopra was unable to meet Mani Ratnam till now.

Actor Priyanka Chopra, whose TV debut last year with Khatron Ke Khiladi (KKK) Season Three was among the most talked about entries on the small screen, has no time for the medium this year, as of now. Replacing her as host is Akshay Kumar, who had hosted the first two seasons of the reality show.

Priyanka says, “I have five films on hand, out of which I’ve started two (Agneepath and Barfee), wrapped up one (Don 2) and there are two more to go (Krrish 2 and Janam Janam Ka Saath Hai Hamara Tumhara), at least,” she says. “I don’t know how I will make time for anything else now. I can’t even think of a holiday in between because the schedules are very tight.”

Reportedly, the former Miss World is among the top contenders to host India’s Next Top Model, adapted from supermodel Tyra Banks’s show America’s Next Top Model, to be produced by BIG CBS Love. Without confirming or denying the news, Priyanka says, “It’s considered unprofessional to drop names of projects that you’re either in talks for or you’ve turned down. So, I’m not taking names, but yes, after KKK Season Three, I’ve been getting loads of different offers for TV. A couple of them were really interesting concepts too.”

He is wondering who is leaking information about them to the fourth estate because the incident of their midnight biking a few days ago was a very personal information which only the couple were privy to.

Already the news was out that Priyanka will be the main lead in the film. Now birdies heard that a new role has been written in for another actress in the superhero sequel that is most probably Katrina.

It is rumoured that Hrithik who worked with Katrina in Zoya Akhtar's ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ had loads of fun together. And so he is considering her to join ‘Krrish 3’…. But nothing is confirmed from any of the concerned parties.

Says Priyanka's business manager, "She has been tense lately. She has not been going out or entertaining friends."

The pall of silence apparently fell on Priyanka after she began meeting people suffering from the mental condition that her character in Barfi suffers from. Says a source from the team, "It freaked Priyanka out. She simply stopped meeting her friends. She first had to digest the enormity of the mental condition and then understand how to project it without seeming to act."

Ranveer Singh seems to be getting extra friendly with B-Town heroines. The Band Baaja Baaraat star recently bumped into Priyanka Chopra at an event.

A bitchy actress who was there, caught the newbie blowing flying kisses at PC.

She says, "Obviously, Priyanka wasn't amused at the youngster's friendly gesture.

PC retorted, "No baby, I am your senior and you don't do this to seniors."
